The main reason is that sand casting has lower cost, simple production process and shorter production cycle than other casting methods. When the wet type does not meet the requirements, consider using a clay sand table dry sand type, dry sand type or other sand type. Generally speaking, for medium and large castings, cast iron parts can be made of resin self-hardening sand type, and steel castings can be produced with water glass sand type, and castings with accurate dimensions and smooth surface can be obtained, but the cost is high. Of course, stainless steel precision casting, surface finish, material density, metallographic structure, and mechanical properties of sand casting are often poor. Therefore, when these performance requirements of castings are higher, other casting methods should be used, such as investment casting. Wax) casting, die casting, low pressure casting, etc.

2. Casting methods such as low-pressure casting, die-casting, and centrifugal casting are suitable for mass production because of the high price of equipment and molds. For small castings, it is possible to use a horizontal or vertical type of boxless high-pressure molding machine production line, real modeling and high production efficiency, and a small footprint; for the middle part, various high-pressure molding machine production lines and gas can be selected. To sculpt the molding line, in order to meet the requirements of fast and high-precision modeling production line, the core making method can be selected: cold core box, hot core box, shell core and other core making methods. Medium-sized large castings can be considered for the application of resin self-hardening sand molding and core making. Manual casting is still an important method for heavy-duty castings produced in small batches. The manual molding can be adapted to various complex requirements and is not flexible. It does not require many process equipment. Water glass sand type, VRH water glass sand type, ester water glass self-hardening sand type, clay dry type, resin self-hardening sand type and cement sand type can be applied; for heavy-duty castings produced by one piece, the pit modeling method is low in cost and fast in production. . The multi-box shape and the box-boxing method are suitable for mass production or long-term production of styling products. Although molds, sand boxes, etc. start to invest high, they can obtain compensation from saving man-hours and improving product quality.
